Barcelona's Forward Arsenal: Six '9's Ready to Step Up If Raphinha Can't Make It Against Getafe

Hansi Flick has a problem most coaches would love to have. If Raphinha fails to shake off his knock in time for Getafe, Barcelona will not be scrambling for a replacement. Flick reportedly has six players who can fill the centre-forward role, and they bring very different profiles to the table. That variety is the real story here. One option offers a traditional penalty-box finisher, another a fast runner who stretches a deep defence, and a third a press-heavy presence who suits a team that wants to win the ball back high. Getafe’s low block and their habit of packing the area make the choice a tactical one, not just a fitness calculation. Against a side that will sit deep and hope for a set piece, the right nine can decide whether Barcelona break them in the first half or grind through a frustrating night. This matters beyond one fixture. Real Madrid and Atlético will not give up ground easily, and every dropped point at this stage is a point the title race will remember. Barcelona’s strength is not just their talent but the options Flick can rotate without weakening the team’s identity. Getafe will be a test of whether that depth is genuine or just a comforting story told in press conferences.
